In compliance with the AICTE guidelines regarding prevention and prohibition of ragging in technical institutions, VITS,Satna hereby constitutes the Anti-Ragging Committee for the academic session 2026-27
The Anti-Ragging Committee shall be nominated and headed by the Head of the Institution and shall include representatives from civil and police administration, local media, non-government organizations involved in youth activities, faculty members, parents, freshers, senior students, and non-teaching staff, with a diverse mix in terms of level and gender.
The Committee shall work to prevent ragging in all forms within the college campus and its associated facilities, create awareness among students, and ensure a safe and inclusive academic environment for all students.

The Committee shall ensure the following measures are implemented effectively in the institution: • Constitution and monitoring of the Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad. • Setting up and functioning of the Anti-Ragging Cell. • Installation of CCTV cameras at vital points. • Organization of Anti-Ragging workshops and awareness programs. • Updating the institution website with complete details of Nodal Officers and anti-ragging mechanisms. • Regular interaction and counselling with students. • identification of trouble-prone areas and preventive monitoring. • Inclusion of anti-ragging warnings in the prospectus, brochures, and admission materials. • Surprise inspections of hostels, student accommodations, canteens, recreation rooms, toilets, bus stands, and other vulnerable places.

It is compulsory for each student and every parent/ guardian to submit an online Anti-Ragging undertaking every academic year through: • www.antiragging.in • www.amanmovement.org Online compliance of Anti-Ragging Regulations shall also be submitted by the Institution at www.antiragging in.

As per the Third Amendment to UGC Regulations dated 29th June 2016, the definition of ragging has been expanded to include: "Any act of physical or mental abuse (including bullying and exclusion) targeted at another student (fresher or otherwise) on the ground of colour, race, religion, caste, ethnicity, gender (including transgender), sexual orientation, appearance, nationality, regional origins, linguistic identity, place of birth, place of residence or economic background. "
